Who We Are

Ceylon–England Cricket Academy & Institute is an emerging cricket development initiative based in Sri Lanka, established with a vision to nurture cricketing talent through structured coaching, cricket education, performance development and international knowledge-sharing.

We believe that cricket development goes beyond physical practice. A complete cricketer needs technical ability, tactical intelligence, discipline, confidence, sportsmanship and a deep understanding of the game.

Our integrated model brings together two complementary divisions: the Ceylon–England Cricket Academy, focused on practical training and player development, and the Ceylon–England Cricket Institute, focused on cricket theory, game intelligence, match analysis and educational programmes.

Our vision is to establish a recognized cricket development network that connects players, coaches, educational programmes and regional cricket communities across Sri Lanka.

1. Ceylon–England Cricket Academy

Our Academy focuses on practical cricket coaching and player development for junior, youth and aspiring competitive cricketers.

Training programmes are designed to develop batting, bowling, fielding, wicketkeeping, fitness, match awareness and performance through structured practice and match-based learning.

We aim to help players build strong foundations, improve consistency and progress according to their abilities, development needs and commitment.

2. Ceylon–England Cricket Institute

Tactical theory education at Ceylon-England Cricket Institute

Learn the Game. Understand the Strategy.

Our Institute introduces a structured educational approach to cricket through theory classes, tactical learning, Laws of Cricket education, match analysis and introductory coaching development.

By helping students understand the principles behind cricket techniques and decisions, we aim to complement practical training with knowledge that can be applied on the field.

Our Regional Cricket Development Vision

We aim to expand cricket development opportunities through a network of regional clubs operating under an agreed framework of coaching principles, player welfare practices and development standards.

Our proposed network will seek to connect local coaches, players, schools and cricket organisations while making structured training and educational programmes more accessible to regional communities.

As the network develops, participating clubs will be introduced progressively, subject to suitable facilities, coaching resources and formal approval.

We believe that exposure to different coaching perspectives can broaden understanding and inspire players and coaches to continue developing their abilities.
